What to Expect
This is a perfect walk for those wanting to keep cool in the summer months. We start in the cooler morning up on the hills to take in the beauty of the White Peak. When things start heating up we drop down to the lovely River Wye with plenty of foliage to keep us shaded and the dogs cool. We follow the river back to our start with plenty of stops along the way.
We have a few inclines along this walk in and out of the dales, reaching stunning high point. This is mainly dale and field walking so livestock to be expected. We visit the Chee Dale stepping stones which can be slippy when wet. The path next to the river can be steep and uneven, if anybody stuggles we can make our way onto the Monsal Trail away from the river. Along the Monsal Trail we will go through tunnels and it is a popular route for cyclists.
