What to Expect
This delightful walk from Tideswell explores the rolling hills above the village, offering lovely views across the surrounding dales. Its a fantastic beginners route with mainly quiet farm tracks to follow and only one or two wall stiles to tackle. The views are fantastic of the beautiful and green White Peak. We finish up in Tideswell for a Christmassy mooch around the shops, cafes and pubs.
We have sealed roads and quiet farm tracks to follow. Where we hope it isn't too muddy, after a lot of rain the tracks can fill with puddles to dodge and the limestone underneath can be a little slippy. There will be traffic on the roads but it will be few and far between. There will be livestock in the fields around us but thankfully we are mainly on bridle tracks that mean if the dogs behave they can stay off lead. The inclines are small and easy to manage. It is winter so it can get icy here out in the Peak District.
