What to Expect
Set out from Winster on a refreshing springtime wander to the dramatic gritstone towers of Robin Hood’s Stride, passing blossom-filled hedgerows and lively green fields along the way. The landscape feels full of new-season energy, and with a bit of luck the walk ends with a well-earned stop in a village café or, at the very least, a welcoming pub.
We have a few rolling hills to contend with on this walk though the views more than make up for it. We have a little village walking at first and nearer the end of the walk. There be livestock and it is still lambing season. There is some road walking with one busy road to cross. Robin Hood's Stride can be walked to but to explor a little scrambling is needed. It could still be very muddy this time of year.
