What to Expect
Whilst the crowds head through the mud to Thor's cave we head down to the disappearing River Manifold, before heading up onto hill tops with vistas all around. The day is spent up high and we bag a couple of quiet Ethel's in the afternoon. We have a couple of stops in quaint villages, make sure to bring some coffee! Finishing up in Wetton we can celebrate with a pint at the pub.
Ascent and descent is the nature of this walk, nothing too high but it all adds up. We will be walking through footpaths in open fields with one small section off path. There will be a lot of livestock in the fields so dogs on short leads. Ground will be uneven in places and possible boggy. There is quite a few squeeze stiles on this walk that can be quite awkward, especially with a larger dog.
