What to Expect
This delightful walk from Tideswell explores the rolling hills above the village, offering lovely views across the surrounding dales. The route drops gently into Millers Dale and Tideswell Dale, following peaceful paths beside the river before returning to the village. Finish your walk taking time to visit the impressive Cathedral of the Peak and grabbing a coffee.
There is some quiet lane walking and we need to cross a busy road once. The walk is mainly grassy footpaths and gravelled paths. There is one steep hill to climb but the views are worth it. The route by Millers Dale and through Cressbrook Dale can be uneven with roots and rocks and can have low hanging branches. The limestone can be slippery when wet. There is livestock throughout.
