What to Expect

This is an easy walk along the Tissington Trail to the pretty village of Tissington. The views on the way out of the village are lovely over the green fields of the White Peak. We love this walk in winter to avoid the worst of the mud and it makes a good leg stretcher before the Christmas rush starts!

A perfect route those wanting to get started with Peak Tors or anybody desperate to get out for a morning walk during winter. There is a slight incline along the trail but it isn't noticable. We are along a gravelled cycle trail for half the walk so there may be cyclists but not many during winter. We can choose whether to walk along quiet lanes or through fields on footpaths through the village depending on the ground underfoot or weather.  There will be a small section with stiles and field walking, about three fields. There could be some livestock in the fields. We can stop off at the cafe and/or finish at the pub at the end.
