What to Expect
Discover one of Derbyshire’s finest spring outings on this circular walk from Winster, leading you through fragrant bluebell woods and across Wensley Dale before climbing to high viewpoints with the chance to bag an Ethel on Bonsall Moor. From here, enjoy sweeping vistas before returning to Winster along the scenic Limestone Way.
We start with a short stint walking through a village before we can get to a public footpath. The footpaths are mostly through fields which will have livestock in and can still be muddy at this time of year. The ground will be uneven with roots in the woods. Please make sure we keep out of the bluebells, dogs included as being tampled can have a serious effect on them. It's an well walked track back to the start of the walk. There is quite a bit of up and down dale but that's when we get the lovely views. There will be a lot of stiles on this walk.
