What to Expect
This special Mother’s Day walk starts in the lovely village of Hope and climbs steadily up Win Hill, one of the Peak District’s finest viewpoints. The effort is well worth it for the sweeping views over Ladybower Reservoir and the surrounding hills. And trust us, if your mum can handle the hard work of raising you, she can definitely handle the climb up Win Hill! Finish back in Hope with a well-earned lunch or treat in one of the village’s cosy cafés.
Think steep with this one! There's a little road walking through Hope before we start the very steep route up onto Win Hill. We will take this as steady as we need. We can zig zag at the steepest point. The final little ascent of Win Hill can be rocky and very uneven with drops on either side. The route back down is gradual. There will be livestock throughout. It can be very exposed on the top so be prepared for the elements. One drink included in the price.
