What to Expect
Embarking on a walk from the charming village of Tissington, this scenic route winds through the heart of the Peak District, offering a delightful mix of rolling hills, wide open countryside, and quiet, picture-perfect villages. Following part of the old railway line along the Tissington Trail before turning toward the peaceful village of Parwich, the walk showcases the area's timeless rural beauty and offers a gentle escape into the landscape’s soothing rhythm.
This is one of our easier walks. We have a lot of field walking and a good stretch along the Tissington Trail. There is of course some hill walking to grab that Ethel. The steepest of which is right at the start and then a small but steep incline at the end. There are a few stiles that we have to go over as well as squeeze stiles. There are livestock that is moved regularly around the fields so we do need to be aware of sheep, cows and horses. We cross a busy road twice so care needed. We never too far from civilisation.
