What to Expect
Winster is quieter than other White Peak village and provides a fantastic start to this pretty walk through its bluebell filled woodland. There is plenty of ancient historical sites to visit along the way with views galore. This is a full packed day with a real mixture of history, nature and geology.
We are mainly on footpaths through open fields with some steady ascents and descents. There is some quiet road walking and crossing. Please be careful on Robin Hoods Stride, there are steep drops and it is uneven under foot with some large gaps between boulders. There is the ability to walk around the rocks if so wished. Please be aware that for any photos taken amongst the bluebells that we are not disturbing them in any way. There are a mixture of stiles, squeeze stiles and gates.
